Bagh Ibne Qasim is a beach park of 130 acres (53 ha) in Karachi, Pakistan. “Garden of the Son of Qasim” refers to Muhammad bin Qasim.

Location:

The largest urban park of Karachi covers a total area of 130 acres (0.53 km2). The park lies close to Karachi Beach and is the largest urban park in Karachi, with 130 acres. At the Jehangir Kothari Parade, the northern edge begins and ends near the Arabian Sea coast. The Lady Lloyd Pier, built-in 1921, stretched throughout the Park from the beach of the Shahrah-e-Firdousi to the current waterline. The Pirojki Hormusi Khajuria Fount in
1936 and the Motumal Shewaram Setpal Fountain, also from 1936, are two historical
fountains located within the Park.

Features:

The park is 130 hectares off the coast of the Arab Sea. The 1919 Jehangir Kothari Parade, the Katrak Tribune, and Karachi Aquarium are on the north edge. The Lady Lloyd Pier starts in 1921 and stretches 600 feet (180m) to the North edge near the Jehangir Kothari Parade. The park also includes a turtle lake, dinosaur murals, 24
laundry facilities, a mosque, 20 stone canopies, and a large rose garden. It faces the 90m Port Fountain of Karachi Port Trust (KPT).

Significance:

Many significant occasional public events are held as the park is massive, such as the memorial celebrations in November 2011 for the famous Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz. Events that have taken place in the park include the Sindh Festival 2014.
