About: Bundal island

Bundal Island is a small island of Karachi, Sindh, on the Arabian Sea, Pakistan. It is a living island on which the old Sufi Saint tomb lies. In which exhibitions are held every year. There are three thousand three hundred and forty-nine hectares of thick wild forests on Bhandar Island. Much marine life provides living and nursery for different kinds of fishes, crabs, and prawns. Cutting down these trees would mean that marine
life would disappear. Pakistan is receiving 390 million dollars per year from seafood exports, according to the WWF. It is interesting to note that 1800 fish species are found in the Pakistani sea, 350 of which are rich in business value. There are also 25 prawn species, four lobster species, six crab species, and 12 shell species. Agriculture in Pakistan has approximately a 22% share of GDP, 1% of which is in the fisheries market. The data shows that 6.5 million tonnes, while the Sindh fishing industry employs about 4 million people each year, are caught from the Pakistani sea. All over these islands, there are 90 species of fish. The islands are rich in biodiversity, 29 marine snakes, 29 plant species, and 50 bird species. One hundred sixty thousand migratory winter birds were found on the islands during a 2008 survey. Furthermore, some of the world’s rarest green turtles spend millions of kilometers on our shore laying their eggs. The survival of these innocent creatures is affected even more if this road is blocked.
