About: Habib Bank Plaza

Habib Bank Plaza, otherwise called HBL Plaza, is situated on I. I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi. It is the main branch of Habib Bank and was the tallest structure in Asia, a title that hasn’t been given to any other system in South Asia, and one of three buildings to get the title other than East and Southeast Asia, while still being in development between 1963-68. Additionally, until 1972, it was the tallest South Asia structure, being expelled by the Express Towers. It stayed the tallest structure in Pakistan for forty years until 116m tall and 29 story MCB Tower came into being. Habib Bank Plaza was inaugurated on the silver jubilee (25th anniversary) of the bank. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has utilized this building to assemble the conference for moon sighting to celebrate Eid.
