About: Merewether Clock Tower

A neo-Gothic clock tower designed in Karachi, Pakistan, during the Victorian period is known as Merewether Clock Tower. The tower is a leading light in central Karachi and is situated at the end of two of the most critical roads in central Karachi, Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road and I. I. The Path of Chundrigar. The tower used to mark the city’s border when traveling from the port at Kamari and drew the dividing line between Karachi’s Old Town and its modern European quarters to the east. It is currently the northwest point of the Serai Quarters.
