About: Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Road

The main road in central Karachi, Pakistan, is Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road, also known as MA Jinnah Road. Because it connected the city to the Port of Karachi, the road was initially called Bandar Road but later renamed in honor of Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The MA Jinnah Road spreads 6.1 kilometers from the southern Jinnah Bridge, near Karachi Port, to Gurumandir Chowk, north of Mazar-e-Quaid. It is the oldest road in the city and passes through most of the historic heart of Karachi’s colonial period, with many landmarks on its way.
