About: Aziz Bhatti Park


Aziz Bhatti Park is situated near Federal Urdu University Road in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The park has its name after Major Aziz Bhatti of Punjab Unit, Pakistan’s army. On 6 September 1965, on the day of the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war, he defended the Burki area in Lahore against the Indian attack.

n 1972, the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) built Aziz Bhatti Park, and in 1992, (KDA) gave it to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). The park has a surface area of 37 acres, but only 7 to 8 acres of land has grown as a park. A natural lake is also present in the garden to enhance its beauty.
